I know the names themselves don't matter but wondered if the actual physical order on the drive mattered - eg in MediaToolbox does it matter if your bootable partition appears before any others?

I reinstalled it all again and it works now - not sure what I did wrong. Does it matter what physical order partitions are in in Media Toolbox? I had DH0 after DH1 - only thing I can think of that may have caused an issue.

I think AmiUpdate does a fantastic job. I do think it needs perhaps clarifying as to what servers are available however as other than looking through here I wouldn't have known about the OS update server. Perhaps a good idea would be to have AmiUpdate show you a list of all available servers with ...

Thanks for the advice. Having another Amiga attached would be nice but unfortunately I don't have one. Now that the serial port work s on the X1000 though I could point this to a PC.
