Does your Mate desktop looks Minty? Or does it look like Debian?
It had originally a black Minty backround. Replaced it with the green checkboard version.

SeaLion on MintPPC32: Installation instructions for ViewTube (YouTube in HD):
  1. Download the VLC web browser plugin: libvlcplugin.so (32-bit).
  2. Create the Mozilla plugin directory: sudo mkdir -p /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
  3. Copy the file "libvlcplugin.so" to the directory /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/.
  4. Download and install GreaseMonkey greasemonkey.xpi.
  5. Download the new ViewTube SeaLion and Brassmonkey package
  6. Delete the old folder gm_scripts
    rm -rf /home/<your user directory>/.wicknix/sealion/<profile directory>/gm_scripts
  7. Unpack the package and copy the folder gm_scripts to /home/<your user directory>/.wicknix/sealion/<profile directory>/
    For example:

    Code: Select all

    cp -R gm_scripts /home/mintppc/.wicknix/sealion/rcj2qr2v.default/
  8. Restart SeaLion

Is it possible to get Interweb to run with the current MintPPC, one way or another? Youtube (via Viewtube) is hopelessly slow to operate with Sealion.

@Roland
To get InterWeb working, you go to

Code: Select all

cd /usr/lib/powerpc-linux-gnu
sudo ln -s libffi.so.8 libffi.so.6

There is a fix coming for the at-spi-bus-launcher error.
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/at-spi2- ... issues/205
I have a working version running in my system. It will likely end up in Debian’s at-spi2-core package.
Edit: commit added upstream

It is very unhandy that I can’t post in that other forum. I asked several times but no reaction.
