Updated software - Can we know the changes?
We get regularly updates on the OS, nice to see this, but where can we look for info on the updates?
Re: Updated software - Can we know the changes?
AmiUpdate provides information on every update. For example, if it says "bug fixes" then that is all the info. available.

The latest MUI4 update wrote it's changes into that dir...is it meant to handle "third party system programs" updates?
Couldn't that be incorporated with the ReleaseInfo dir?

Re: Updated software - Can we know the changes?
ReleaseInfo is the place where AmiUpdate saves the ReleaseInfo files which it also dislays in the GUI. In other words, it's the new standard place.Raziel wrote:What is the difference between RelaeseInfo and ReleaseNotes?
ReleaseNotes may still be used by some AutoInstall scripts, e.g. third party ones.

ReleaseNotes is for beta testers only. ReleaseInfo is the general directory where the information is saved with each and every update, regardless of server. This can be disabled via the preferences, of course.
