Edit: turning back to the old Intuition 53.35 caused a change to the mouse pointer (it turn back to the older one), to solve that i presume i need to revert also the IPrefs update ..
Ops sorry i didn't read the other topics .. hope it will be fixed soon because ClickToFront is very usefull for meSlayer wrote:Yes this has been established and conveyed in another thread, I haven't been able to confirm it myself (since I am at work) but I find no reason to doubt it. With out speaking out of turn I would suggest this would be remedied in another update.
Thanks for the report.
Do you use the latest version of ClickToFront (the one released with Update 5) ?Phantom wrote:As I said in the other thread as well, ClickToFront is working here without any problems.
Problem reported weeks ago, and was fixed, right after new changes in intuition. We just forget that new intuition changes reles not only on iprefs, but also click2front reles on. You know, shit happens, we forget it, because beta versions of click2front was fixed in the next day and we have it working on beta setups.Oh dear... there really was no single betatester reporting such a problem??
Almost everyone in the team use it, and it is already fixed, just not fully. And we all just forget about it at all. And when we test new update with iprefs + intuition, no one even remember about it, because its now a almost automatic process of updates. Or you want to wait years for single update (but which will be 100% tested and retested milion times) ?Hey, Im not picking on them, but I cant believe that. Noone of the team is using such a basic commodity like ClickToFront in the most recent version? Only normal users use it? Frightening...
Of course, its better to says that everyone is bad and can't do their (free-time) job, and that its all their fault, how dare they miss it ! But if you know how many of everyhing happens, and how much of all the stuff to be tested, you for sure will be amazing of how it even possible to have not so much problems in end. No need to think that betatesters do nothing, we do a lot, just shit happens and we all just forget that new release of intuition will broken click2front, just because our betaversions of click2front works. You know, its not only intutiion and click2front we test. So instead of that old story "oh again updating of updated update" , better just be happy that updates happens so offten, and when shit happens, just wait for fix. Not years as before, but i assume just days.Ok, Im waiting for another update, updating the updated update...
Sure, of course some testers have it in that way (clean and beta setups on different paritions, different machines, etc). Its just we all miss it somehow. Some testers only install it and check that there no problems in general, another ones maybe dind't use that commoditie , another ones didn't have time for that test (me personally test it only on beta, where i already have working click2front). Just shit happensWhat about testing not only on beta systems but on plain "user mode" setups? Just a partition containing Update 5, or Update 6, if you like, and test new updates on that before release? Would save some whining on both sides and even things that are forgotten would pop up suddenly, but just right in time
