Can't help with USB, but someone suggested using a piece of hardware that is kind of the opposite of a Wireless Access Point. I forget what it was called, but it picks-up a wireless signal, and provides internet via an ethernet port. It is probably configured via a web browser. Should solve your WiFi-less Sam440 issue, if you cannot fit a PCI WiFi card in your Sam.

I specifically need to go through my an
droid phone with tethering for Internet access
But such a WIFI bridge device for Ethernet or USB connection to my 440flex would help the LAN situation here too
Having checked my android phone with a tethering application running
I only need to sort out the AmigaOS USB driver with RoadShow to get further updates and testing pushed to the project repositories

Uuhh, no? why buy that when I could use my phone?
to my knowledge Chris was suggesting some kind of Ethernet to WIFI 802.11 AP which would be more useful than another cellular link device

Yes, was that unclear from the start?
Apparently I need some kind of Google ADB driver support
for the USB connection
otherwise I will need some Ethernet to WIFI bridge device
