Thanks for the update Trevor, and for all of your work to get the installation manual completed after all of your testing of the Debian Squeeze installations along with the rest of the beta test team members who worked on it. All of us X1000 owners will be looking forward to Hyperion's announcement in the near future notifying us where we can find the download link for both the Debian Squeeze installation manual and the kernel.trevordick wrote:I presume you mean you wish you could try Debian Squeeze Linux on your AmigaONE X1000?Tuxxl wrote:I wish I could use my Amiga X1000.Tuxxl

The Installation guide provide all the details and information and "tries" to provide a step-by-step guide to allow the installation of Debian Squeeze.AmigaDave wrote:Do you know if it will be just the Debian Squeeze kernel that will be available for download, or will a complete Debian Squeeze installation CD/DVD .iso be available, so those of us that are unfamiliar with compiling our own Linux installation from source files can download an installation CD/DVD and just run an installation script from the mounted .iso, or a burned CD/DVD?
If you read the forum posts carefully, you would know that it is not available to download yet, but Trevor has provided what is needed to Hyperion, so they can setup a download link and it should be available very soon.Tuxxl wrote:Trevor,
Thanks for the Debian Iso list
Please, can you get the link for the debian installation guide?
I don't find it on forum.
Thanks a lot.

Correct. The Guide and Kernels sould be available for download from Hyperion.AmigaDave wrote:Someone will correct me if I am incorrect in my understanding of what is happening with the Debian Squeeze installation guide and kernel for installation on the X1000.
Further to my earlier post. If any "First Contact" customers are keen to try out the Linux installation please sent me a PM with your AmigaOS4 serial number and I will provide download links for both the Installation Guide and the A1-X1000 Debian Kernel.trevordick wrote:If this is delayed for any reason, I will provided a download link to the files for registered "First Contact" owners.

Not in a huge hurry, so I can wait for Hyperion to provide the download links, unless they are not going to set up such links on this site.trevordick wrote:Further to my earlier post.
