The only real problem was that the softlinks target descriptor always included a full DOS device name relative
path instead of just a root dir ":" path for relative specifications, this bug was only discovered recently when
someone tried to access a "backed up" softlink on the new volume and ...

Re: Is there RTL8139 Support in OS 4.1?
Hi danbeaver.
I just read the original thread. As I'm sure everyone here knows, one can override the device id etc of e.g. the RTL8029AS in case you have a "special" version of this card which does not use default/common PCI IDs. Think the confusion came in as this ability to override applies to ...

Re: OS4.1 Booting from CD failed
Interesting. Maybe it was your firmware version or settings then. Good to hear you no longer have the problem.

Re: OWB gives screen corruption on Radeon + Mediator 4000Di
Errors before initialising Radeon for Workbench will pop up on the "previous" display (be it CVPPC or maybe even Picasso IV scandoubler/AGA). I cannot read the language of your error message, but when I had my network set up incorrectly, the network startup command in the startup-sequence had a ...

Re: OWB gives screen corruption on Radeon + Mediator 4000Di
Mine always shows the OS4.x splash screen on CVPPC first before displaying workbench on Radeon. Do not think it is related, as it seems the CVPPC has priority when installing OS4.1 from CD as well (with no default config). It is interesting that it is not consistent for you. I had listed this item ...

Re: OWB gives screen corruption on Radeon + Mediator 4000Di
Surprised no one has looked at this. You will have to give me a few days. Look at my sig for my setup, I also have CVPPC and Radeon but in Mediator A4000T. I have not noticed such a problem before. But I do remember there could previously be potential for problems when using multiple screens (i.e ...

So you have to break the address space into blocks of a given size and large allocations need to happen first
Is it possible to reorder the slots? As ConfigOut and ConfigIn lines are wired directly from one slot to the next
(A3000 A4000 desktop and tower schematics reveal this IIRC)
As the ...

Re: Way to increase Zorro 3 autoconfig address space?
So did I undestand right that I would have to either get Radeon 9250 128MB or remove Mediator windows jumper to make it allocate less memory for PCI slots, but would PCI soundcard or PCI network card then ran out of memory with their small memory need?

@ Hanzu
For your question on how big the gap is (that is "wasted"), from my earlier post:
Is anyone from Hyperion able to shed any light on my 3 questions?
I may have found the answer to number 3 from the RKRM Hardware Manual (1989) in the Section on AutoConfig:
"The AUTOCONFIG spec requires ...

Re: Radeon from elbox
@ Hanzu
Welcome to the Hyperion forum!
I have a Radeon 256MB also bought from Elbox, but they do go through different hardware versions of that card so all models are not alike (and therefore potentially may not exhibit the same results). From memory I think the DVI output of my Radeon card was ...
