I've been doing a bit of file transferring with USB flash drives. When done with one drive, I right-click on its icon and select "Safely remove drive." The icon vanishes, and I unplug the drive.
The rather serious problem I am having with that is that the socket will no longer recognize a drive, whether I replug the same one or try a different one. To change flash drives, "safely," I must reboot Ubuntu.
That seems unfair.
