Missing Env: ?

Post by ddni »

System: X1000, AmigaOS4.1 update6, RadeonHD 6850, 4GB RAM.

Hi all,

Having read a few threads on here, it seems that I should have an Envarc drawer in prefs and an Env: drawer in RAM:

I have the former, but not the latter. Is this an issue?

No problem. ENV: is kept in RAM memory, but not the RAM: disk.
You'll find it in hte drives list by typing "info" into a shell

Want to make sure? open a shell and
cd env:

I believe you'll find everything you are looking for there.

:)

Yeah, ENV: used to be a directory in RAM Disk years ago (in the Classic days), but these days is its own "device".
cheers
