Changing the way Workbench draws icons during drag&drop

Post by ZeroG »

If you drag&drop a lot of files around on the Workbench the system gets very, very slow because the bitmap showing the selected icons gets too big for the graphicscard (i use a Radeon 9200).
I think it would be a good idea to change the way Workbench draws icons during drag&drop to something like this:
  • 1-10 objects: use the old drawing method.
  • more than 10 objects: just show a placeholder icon and the total number of files/drawers selected

That is a good idea as it can be hard to see where it is going as well! Making sure that red pointer is over that drawer. ;-)

I agree. I think that would be a good option.
