System Update Version

Post by Amigo1 »

It thought it would maybe be helpful to you devs, for the sake of bug-reports, to integrate a "built xxx" scheme to differentiate between updates.
Each released mini update in update 6 increases the built count displayed in the "About..." window.

There could still be some confusion when rolling back some single component though, but the user should then mention it..

Mmh.. on the other hand it's maybe totally pointless, if one just updates his system to the latest update before pointing out a glitch or bug and mentions he is up-to-date.. Oh well, I'm going to post this anyway ;-)

We already have component version numbers to track that.

I see. In fact the bugs us end-users are reporting are surely additionally being tested on beta-system with newer versions of the components and so might already have been ironed out. Thanks for replying. :-) I like the work You are doing. You and the rest of the devs and testers too.
