I bought a d-link usbhub with 4-ports. I dont want uboot so scan the usbdevices evertime i boot because it takes alot of time. I tried these lines:

nvsetvar scan_usb_storage=0
nvsetvar scan_usb_storage=n

How can i do so it doesnt scan my isbdevices during booting?

You can't afaik.

How long does it take?
What do you have plugged into it, maybe it's something that's connected that's causing the problem not the hub itself?

I have a couple of d-link devices (router and ethernet card) because they are cheap, maybe you just need a better hub or it's faulty?

It takes between 1-2 minutes. I bought a cheap d-link usbhub but it takes the same amount of time with no devices attached.

Maybe it's something to do with the fast charging port that autmatically switches to data mode when you turn the computer on. Did the hub come with a driver disk? Anything that does usually means it's non-standard and won't work properly :(

It seems that UBoot doesnt recognize this hub properly and is retrying a lot of times until it gives up on this hub. Maybe a timing problem?

The "fast charging" port couldnt be the problem, as there is no "mode switching" involved regarding the data lines. The "fast charge" port will allow for higher power consumption, if the hub is in self powered mode (external PSU connected to the hub), but will work as a normal 0.5A port, if the hub is bus powered (no PSU connected). The data connection is not involved in the "fast charge" thing.
