AmigaOS Update 5 long booting time

Post by Amigo1 »

I made a clean install of AmigaOS4.1 from scratch, from Update 1 CD to Update 5.

- Clean partition
- reboot after each update
- no additional software installed but the contributions
- no errors appeared
- static IP-Address

After the Kickstart files have been loaded, the AmigaOne XE rests for 24 seconds, then the boot screen appearsm, so I disabled a few Kickstart modules in the hope they were the cause of delay:

;MODULE Kickstart/a1ide.device.kmod
;MODULE Kickstart/it8212ide.device.kmod
;MODULE Kickstart/sii3112ide.device.kmod
;MODULE Kickstart/sii3114ide.device.kmod
;MODULE Kickstart/sii3512ide.device.kmod
;MODULE Kickstart/3dfxVoodoo.chip

It still takes 24 seconds for the boot image to appear, no disk activity, no led blinking..

AmigaOne-XE, Radeon 9500, sii0680, 1 Harddrive on Sii0680 Port 0, configured as Master. 1 DVD and 1 DVD-RAM on sii port 1 configured as Master and Slave respectively.

ATM I really have no idea where to look to solve this..

@Amigo1

Why don't you have a look at the Monitor Tooltypes and/or Sideband Settings in UBoot?
