3D drivers

Sorry - this isn't yet another request for 3D drivers for the X1000 - I'm sure Hyperion have had enough of them. What I would like to know is - why didn't the X1000 ship with a Radeon that already had working drivers? Would that not have been a better idea? We could then at least be playing lots of cool 3D games on our X1000s and making videos to show them off.

No, you couldn't play 3D games or "making videos to show them off" because if aeon/hyperion would ship the X1000 with 3D drivers then you wouldn't have got a X1000 at all (yet). Obviously, the drivers are not yet ready. So, if you prefer to get the 3D drivers first before being able to use the X1000 at all then just turn your X1000 off and wait until they became available. It's your choice
