@Raziel

I probably could say much the same about you. You don't seem to know everything yourself and not always have the best answers. None of us do. I know who i am and i accept myself, both my limitations and my good sides.

I try to help as much as I receive help when I have something to provide myself. Just because users like me are not developers or programmers, but an allround user, don't mean we are stupid.

In a topic here you said I should not embarrass myself at OS4Depot.net regarding the L2Cache. Yet, several were grateful that I took up the subject.

I'm not saying that the new features of AmigaOS 4.1 Final should be fixed to cause more problems, but to find a way to make these old programs and stuffs to work, just like they did in AmigaOS 4.1 Update 6.

Also, the freeze and the various minor bugs found in FE have to be fixed. They are there, either you believe it or not.

It's not a problem for me that you might disagree now and then, but to start a personal vendetta is a problem. I'm not interested in that, and neither are you. Let keep it clean and civilized, shall we.

Nobody is perfect. You are not perfect and I am not. Like you, I don't need lectures from you. This is a support forum to give and receive help, so keep it civilized. No more personal vendetta from you. It ends here.

Aminet is the best place to search for OctaMED SoundStudio V1.0.3c and TheMaestrix tool. Otherwise there is always Google.

Great! You should also find TheMaestrix by doing the same search on the same site.

Here is the link, by the way: http://aminet.net/package/util/libs/TheMaestrix :)

For me it freezes as soon as I click on Octamed icon.
A requester say that "screenmode can't be opened (probably out of memory)" and freeze !

Just the following in the serial log

"Kernel command line: SERIAL DEBUGLEVEL=5

Registers pointing to code:"

Under 4.1.6, same error requester but no freeze (and nothing in the serial)

I believe something can be done in order to make it working again, they pratically "merged" the graphic components in order to semplify/modernize the entire infrastructure (which is good) but I don't think that they did such greater changes as to lose compatibility .. maybe with some touch-up ;)

Exactly! NO freeze under 4.1.6, as the message is easily ignored. Under FE the freeze happens especially when you quit the program to go back to WB and try to click an icon to run there, then the OS freezes, which proves there is something in the new OS causing the freeze, not the program.

@Samo79

I certainly hope the same, too, without making the new features more problematic, but better with compatibility in mind also. :)
