Hi All,

I released the stable long-term kernel 6.12.68 today.

Download of the kernel package and downloads of some Dockerfiles and compose yamls: github.com

Monitoring the Docker containers while compiling and testing the kernel (Docker Swarm with shared access via SSHFS to the kernel_dev bind mount on the PowerPC kernel cross compiling container):

Hi All,

Here is the alpha4 of kernel 7.0 for X1000 and e5500 machines (X5000/20, X5000/40, Mirari, and QEMU VMs).

Download and further information: github.com

We were previously able to disable PREEMPT in the kernel configuration because of issues with KVM PR and KVM HV, but the latest kernels now enable it by default and it is no longer possible to disable it.

I created a bug report and a patch for disabling PREEMPT today. KVM PR and KVM HV work without any problems with the patched alpha4.

Please test the kernels.

Thanks,
Christian
