I compiled the alpha2 of kernel 6.18 for X1000 and e5500 machines (X5000/20, X5000/40, Mirari, and QEMU VMs) today.

Here is the alpha3 of kernel 6.18 with the second PowerPC updates for X1000 and e5500 machines (X5000/20, X5000/40, Mirari, and QEMU VMs).

So tested kernels alpha 1 and 2 on Mate and Mint. Including KVM patch. So far so good. Now installing alpha 3 and onto that next.

These alphas are coming in so fast there won't be any space for the RCs. :-D

So have tested alphas 3 and 4 between MATE and Mint. So far they have been very stable with no major problems. All alphas so far running well and look forward to testing 5 next. :-)

There were many changes in the kernel source code, so we needed more alpha versions for testing.

There must have been many good changes.

On that note, alpha 5 continues the trend, also booting up well on Mate and Mint. 8-)
