At what speed can you download videos from Youtube in X5000? For me the speed has been for some time extremely low, around 50 Kbit/s. I have tested both with ViewTube/SaveTube and Youtube-dl, no significant difference.
For comparison, when I tested to download exactly the same video using a PC/Ubuntu, Firefox 93 and 'Easy Youtube Video Download Express' plugin, I reached 1,3 Mbit/s! The network connection was the same for both machines.
What makes these downloads so slooow in X5000...? Isn't there any better software available than View/Savetube and Youtube-dl?!

I have the same issue. I figured out, that it isn’t a kernel or distribution issue.
Unfortunately I don’t have an idea for solving this issue currently.

ViewTube 2021.11.04 has been released. The issue with the slow downloads of YouTube is gone!
I can watch YouTube videos without any problems again.
