Yes, the same behavior on my X1000. The login in Fienix is faster on my X5000.musa wrote: Wed Feb 24, 2021 12:41 pm Hi I test 5.3 and 5.11 and 5.12 on Fienix , about 25 sec from X begins to start to a login screen. same for all

Sorry because of the false statement of the boot issue. It was too late yesterday. If I understand it correctly then the position of the PCIE devices scan is at a new place. Therefore it doesn't work anymore. It has nothing to do with the device tree adoption.

Compilation error (alpha6):
I have found the bad commit: Merge tag 'kbuild-v5.12' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/masahiroy/linux-kbuild
The changes in the Makefile are responsible for the compiling errors: a/Makefile
I was able to revert this bad commit.
After that the alpha6 compiled without any problems.
I reported this issue to the kernel developers today.
