Indeed, I cannot even get a system beep - when booting off a bootable disc, I still have no audio, yet, when the same disc is inserted into another SAM 440 EP there is sound.

same problem here with my first sam440ep mobo : sound died in an horrible shout just after boot, when playing the boot tune. I needed to swith off the sam to make it cease to shout and saves my ears...
after a while I put it on again and since there is NO SOUND at all.
when I asked acube years ago I've been told that "the problem is known" but nothing more since. I'll have a look at that jumper 61 to see if it's not dead asap.

Day 12 And Still no reply to my emails from ACube. Customer service is obviously not their Forte?
