Hello
I have registered several programs in (Debian Ubuntu 12.04 Ubuntu 12.10 and Xubuntu 14.04) where there are problems with colors.
On the 2 screenshot you can see below you can see some of theme.
Warzone 2100 with a small error in the transparent color (green fields)
On the next pictures you can see the following applications with color error:
Rawstudio, Luminance HDR, glxgears started with sudo and error and without sudo and no errors. Errors in a single icon in cairo-dock and in some colors in firefox on after selecting new tab.(only there in firefox)
I also use the same programs on a Linux PC and do not have these errors colors there.
I would like to hear if anyone else has these errors.
I know Zeno74 has worked with a bug in mesa_lib but is all these errors I point to here classified under this bug?
Is there
Is there perhaps different errors here?
Thanks.
Color issues in linux ppc
Re: Color issues in linux ppc
I know the false colors problems. Some Linux programs appear to be ABGR instead of RGBA, thus green becomes purple, red becomes light blue etc. I've created a bug report on freedesktop.org. Bug report 72877: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72877 and http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/m ... 50363.html. I also created a bug report on bugs.launchpad.net. Bug report #1275042: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... ug/1275042. Additional I have posted the bug on the Mesa dev mailing list: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/m ... 55510.html. I also have posted it in the PPC forum by http://ubuntuforums.org: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2214923 and I posted it on the Debian PPC mailing list: https://lists.debian.org/debian-powerpc ... 00003.html. I have figured out what the problem is and I have fixed the problem in the MesaLib source code. I have released some unofficial Mesa packages. Downloads: http://www.supertuxkart-amiga.de/amiga/ ... icial.html. I have fixed the wrong colors issues in SuperTuxKart. Downloads: http://www.supertuxkart-amiga.de/amiga/ ... #downloads. But I know, it affects a lot of other programs.

Thanks for the reply.xeno74 wrote:I know the false colors problems
Will it say that there may be a total solution (graphics driver or ?) or will there be different solutions for individual applications.
Is this problem the same in Fedora and Suse?
I think it's a good job you have done with this problem.

I hope there are solutions to the problem, otherwise it is not possible to work with raw image in linux ppc.
