It is possible to send some kind of "reqest" to make changes in mediatoolbox, to put 512 by default, and not 1024 ?512 is recommended for a reason. Feel free to ignore me but I'll listen to the guy who wrote the code.

I'm not ignoring you - but I assume the same guy wrote the SFS FAQ, the readme and (maybe) contributed to the *ide_dev.docs. So for as a user like me it is a least puzzling. Sigh.ssolie wrote:512 is recommended for a reason. Feel free to ignore me but I'll listen to the guy who wrote the code.

JXFS doesn't work at all with anything other than 512 byte block size (partition won't mount)Raziel wrote:Not that i want to blame MediaToolBox for choosing the wrong block size, but if FFS (not sure), JXFS and SFS RELIES on being used with a block size of 512 wouldn't it be possible to tell MediaToolBox to change it to a default of 512 as soon as those SF's are used?
Additional info for this thread:
FFS and SFS\00 are 32-bit filesystems, and therefore have a file size limit of 4GB (or is it 2GB?)
SFS\02 and JXFS are 64-bit filesystems and have a much larger file size limit
