After the latests Jan. 15th update of MUI using AmiUpdate I have experienced a couple of MUI related defects when used with SimpleMail.
All these defects go away if I use AmigaUpdate and undo the update.
1. SimpleMail refuses to open on it's own screen. No matter how I set the screen up, Through AmigaOS and tell MUI to use foreign screen or through MUI Screen preferences SimpleMail will only open on the workbench screen. Once open I can use the MUI menu attached ot the window and move it to the SimpleMail screen just fine and I can even save those settings but the next time I start SimpleMail it starts on the Workbench screen. Note that Odyessy still works on it's own screen just fine.
2. If I change MUI setting by starting the MUI preferences program from within the simple mail application, then save the settings, they are all lost the next time I start SimpleMail. I was specifically adjusting the toolbar settings but other settings seem to have the same issue as well. Note that if I use the SYS:MUI program to set the setting universally they are remembered and used by SimpleMail.
Maybe these are SimpleMail issues but they only started occuring after the latest MUI update and go away when I revert back. For now I'm not intalling the Jan. 15th MUI update.
Anyone else have these kinds off issues since the update?

Re: MUI - Jan. 15th update vs. SimpleMail
This issue is due to a fix I implemented for those people who insisted in using the old ReAction OWB in parallel with Odyssey. Both applications use the same name for their ARexx ports. The next release will revert this change which also fixes this issue.

Wow, thanks for the quick response and all the hard work on MUI4! I'll wait for the next update and try again.tboeckel wrote:This issue is due to a fix I implemented for those people who insisted in using the old ReAction OWB in parallel with Odyssey.
