@ Michael,
Yes, but also I cant use TW as it cant seem to connect to a site. It says connecting on the tab label with a rotating green circle. It stays like this until I close TW and get the GR.

Re: Grim reaper on starting Timberwolf
I posted on Amigans an answer to this problem here
http://forum.hyperion-entertainment.biz ... 164#p24164
With the latest install file of Timberwolf, it seems to assume you have an existing copy of a previous release candidate, so when you install it you don't get certain directories and files needed for successful launch. So I found on Aminet the original release candidate and copied the needed files to my directory and it now launches.... HOORAY!
The directories missing and there included files are as follows.
searchplugins
plugins
modules
res
dictionaries
extensions
defaults
chrome
components
The link to the release candidate 1 is as follows
http://aminet.net/package/comm/www/timberwolf
Simply download and unpack, then copy the missing directories and there files to the Timberwolf directory and all should work.
Hope this helps a few people struggling as I did to get it to work.
Edit just saw a post prior pointing to the solution I mention sorry...

@fairdinkem
Thanks, I resolved the GR on startup, but now the issue is TW not connecting to sites as explained in the post above yours.
Any thoughts?

Timberwolf doesn't do anything to the internet connection, it just uses it, if available.ddni wrote:@fairdinkem

It seems your internet setup is borked?
Have you checked with other programs or even ping?
Try "ping google.com" from shell, does it get a connection?

Hi raziel,
Thanks for your support.
Yes my web connection is fine as I use Amiupdate, Odyssey, amIRC, sabremsn and many other web dependent programs on my x1000, all without issue.
Definitely something in my system or TW.

Re: Grim reaper on starting Timberwolf
Have you tried a "simple" site, like os4depot.net?ddni wrote:Hi raziel,

I heard that sites with strong useage of CSS and javascript may break...
Re: Grim reaper on starting Timberwolf
Yes, I have tried Aminet and os4depot.
Re: Grim reaper on starting Timberwolf
You can reach those sites with Timberwolf?ddni wrote:Yes, I have tried Aminet and os4depot.
If so, then what site i.e. doesnt work?
Others could check if they have the same problem with it, so it might well be a problem of Timberwolf not dealing with the site correctly and not a problem of your system
Re: Grim reaper on starting Timberwolf
No Raziel, I cannot reach any sites with TW. I listed OS4Depot and Aminet as they are simple sites that one would expect to work. They don't.

Have you set up a web proxy, or changed any of the internet settings on Timberwolf?ddni wrote:No Raziel, I cannot reach any sites with TW. I listed OS4Depot and Aminet as they are simple sites that one would expect to work. They don't.
