Amiupdate presents new Exchange but...
Amiupdate presents new Exchange but...
... the matching commodities.library update is missing. Anything I am doing wrong or was it withdrawn and will be updated later?
Re: Amiupdate presents new Exchange but...
Ok, got it (finally).
I dont know whats the issue here (maybe the "incompatibility"), but I think it would have been a better idea to present both updates at the same time. I was irritated by Exchange´s dependency on the new commodities.library. In my view it was a bit risky to update Exchange first, as there was quite a chance that it doesnt work without its dependency (I dont like rollbacks).

They were released at the same time but I made commodities.library dependent on Exchange so you needed to install one before the other.
I figured the majority of users could figure it out without too much difficulty.

I see... but isnt there a way to offer both updates the same time, so that users arent irritated by "missing" dependencies? I heard some rumours, about users carefully reading the update information...ssolie wrote:They were released at the same time but I made commodities.library dependent on Exchange so you needed to install one before the other.

Re: Amiupdate presents new Exchange but...
I ran into this as well with the added catch-22... The commodities update has never been shown to me ...and I am wondering what it depends on that I may have missed in updating.
If anyone with the actual update or with AmiUpdate able to be told to log the URL please inform me of what is essential for downloading and installing that missing update please ?

@belxjander
I think it's high time Update 7 got released to put everyone on par and to avoid this kind of dependency mess.

@Niels: That dependency is installed and yet commodities.library as yet has never shown me any newer version.
Can updates be checkpoint collected as a bundle for each N months? and downloaded as an optional bundle?

Re: Amiupdate presents new Exchange but...
Commodities.library depends on SYS:Utilities/Commodities/Exchange 53.14, so you need to make sure that is installed, and at that correct location.
Try typing "which exchange" to verify the correct path.
