Kernal Update / Hollywood

Post by djrikki »

Hello,

After updating the Kernel via AmiUpdate in the last couple of weeks my Hollywood application Jack has become unstable. Myself and Andreas need to isolate the problem. Another user posted that it maybe something to do with downloading files through the stack. Although I guess it could be anything at this stage.

So the first question at this stage would be - did anything change in relation to the IP Stack or anything Ethernet/Internet access related that perhaps needs re-implementing into Hollywood?

Is Andreas registered on this forum I never see him about?

Define "unstable". Crashes ? Which ones ? DSI ? ISI ? Crashlog ? What machine ? There were some memory copy related changes recently, did you set the appropriate flags in the kernel command line ?

The kernel doesn't handle anything related to IP or Internet access. The only thing that would affect it are low-level service functions and message/signal passing.

I don't think so. We are in the process of closing down the private "invite" mailing list and moving everybody to the support forum. That way, everybody is in the same place at least.
