Mouse pointer changed with the latest updates
Mouse pointer changed with the latest updates
I have installed the two recent updates (IPrefs and intuition.library.kmod), and when I restarted my Amiga, the mouse pointer changed to the old one (including the busy pointer as well). How I can restore it back to normal?

Strange. Another reboot and everything went back to normal. Anyway...

Re: Mouse pointer changed with the latest updates
It's magic.
I believe it is also explained in the release notes.

This update has broken ClickToFront... no longer works. How infuriating!

However important or used to one gets to a feature or "routine" procedure
It always amazes me how such situations specifically and acutely affect certain individuals
I hate to think how there lives in general play out and how this affects people around them especially there partners
I teach my staff here about the concepts "Acceptance" and "Understanding"
Even if I wasn't a Beta Tester (which I might add has only been for a couple of years?) I wouldn't complain about AmigaOS because I know the people who are involved with this platform are enthusiasts just like me. They are already greatly affected when a bug report comes in that something has been missed. Adding to the mix an individuals heightened sensitivity and outrage doesn't help (whether it is actual or just verbally written).
I treat everyday our OS is being maintained as a great day, once you've made this transition to reconnect with your passion for the platform you won't care about the odd short coming because down the road it'll come right and on the Amiga we have the freedom to do most things another way
Take it in your stride and this will follow on to anyone else interested in the platform, more interest means more resources, more resources means the less likelihood something gets missed in an evaluation step.
Keep the Faith

Consider yourself lucky, ClickToFront a 100% essential functionality of any post-1994 operating system... it just stucks without it. Yes, thats correct I cannot live without it.
