Arrived, thank you very much

Though it didn't change a thing...

I did the final step and have completely redone my entire AmiDock (and thats a lot, believe me)

I DO get the animation docky to scale down now, BUT only if i set AmiDock to place the active apps into the MAIN CATEGORY (that would be the very first one, normally amended with "main category").
As soon as i set it to place them in ANY OTHER dock/subdock it DOES NOT scale it down again.

So either i have a completely messed up system/AmiDock/eyesight/brain there seems to be a bug in AmiDock?

if anyone wants to test, just add a new dock and place the active apps in there (Option at the bottom of AmiDock "Place AppDockies in:"), close AmiUpdate and restart...it's reproduceable here, it just won't scale down then, stays at 100%.

I can live with that workaround, but it would be nice if AmiDock could get a fix sometime (if it's broken, that is)

Thank you

My mini dock was also my 'main' dock or primary dock, I switched round so it was an additional dock and notice the same thing, the AmiUpdate icon does not scale in anything other than the 'main' dock. Must be a bug in AmiDock as it obviously can scale the icon but only if it's in that main dock.

On the second tab of the AmiDock preferences, Layout, you can set the icon scale factor etc. Do you have the same settings here for all your docks? Click on the various dock names in the left hand list and compare the settings.

The docky (animated or otherwise) should scale just fine with the latest AmiDock update.

@Rigo
I have installed Update 6 on my sam440ep today and AU updated itself from 2.22 to 2.26 then AU crashed.
I used rollback to go back to 2.22 and installed the OS Updates and then AU 2.26 - no crash.

Could it be that 2.26 needs some post-update6 files?

Hi Niels,

this wasnt directed to me, still ill answer if you don mind because it affects me aswell :-)

Yes, of course did i change the scale factor for all the docks i tried.

The poblem dan.hutch just confirmed is that the animated docky of AmiUpdate does not scale if it does not reside in the very first (top) dock that has been created.
Create a second dock just under the first one and use this dock to keep the running progams and it wont scale...this is clearly a bug :-( (or better an unimplemented feature) :-)

Take care

Okay, just wanted to make sure you guys hadn't overlooked that this setting was for each dock separately.

No, the problem was there was no reboot after installing. Unfortunately, when the routines were originally designed, I never thought a reboot might be needed after an update of AU itself. This is somethingI plan to implement soon.
