What if Update6 already installed?
What if Update6 already installed?
I had installed Update6 from Hyperion's site a couple of hours ago, before Steven's announcement. Actually it installs AmiUpdate on System/ drawer and adds a menu item on Workbench's pull-down menu. The problem is, do I have to strictly downgrade to Update 5 again (by copying Update5 files over Update6 ones)?

@Phantom
If you're not having any problems with it then I don't see why you should need to. I installed it immediately too and I haven't experienced any problems yet at least.
I think it may be more about Steven being cautious and just wanting to do a little more testing still just be sure it doesn't contain any too serious bugs before releasing it for real (at least that is the impression I got).

I don't have any problems so far though. If a bug found, is it possible to install the new Update6 over the previously Update6 somehow?

Re: What if Update6 already installed?
Sorry about that.
If you already installed it and it works you'll be fine. No need to install it again or anything.
The last issue I was going to fix just affects X1000 users which have not applied all the patches. It is more of a contingency measure.

No need to apologise actually, nothing happened; actually it works without any problems.
I've downloaded again the new Update6 archive and checked every file with the old one. The only difference I found is the sb600ide.device.kmod file, correct me if I'm wrong, and something else is also changed.
