Update 5 to Update 5

Post by AmigaNG »

Hi just wondering if X1000 First Contact Users should update their systems with the lastest OS update, (update 5) I only notice a week ago that the RunINUAE thats with the new update is more up to date than the one that came with my system (which is also apparently running update 5) and the fact I notice today a thread by Amigadave a little bug that I have experience once myself when the internet was down, you get a very slow boot up, I did wounder why my machien was slow that day, but with no internet had no way of asking the question and then when it was back up the problem had fixed it self.

But anyway apparently this has been fixed in the lastest update, which make me wounder if I missing anything else in the update.

So should I update?

thanks
2012 - the year I got a new Amiga and the world ended.....a good year.

Absolutely not. The X1000 follows an independent release schedule because it is still in beta.

However, the version of RunInUAE on OS4Depot is identical to the one included with Update 5, so you can just download & install it from OS4Depot...

... actually the one on OS4Depot is slightly newer, so all Update 5 users should download & install it anyway :)

You can fix this problem without the non-X1000 Update 5. I posted in that thread how to do it.
