Bug when accidentally clicking both buttons

Post by graffias79 »

I wanted to report a bug that I stumbled on. I hope this is the correct forum, if not please feel free to move it to the correct location.

Sometimes my hand will twitch while using the mouse and cause me to hit the right mouse button while clicking on something with the left mouse button. When this happens, the icon becomes permanently attached to the mouse and no matter what I do, I can never drop the icon. The only solution is to reboot.

I am using an AmigaOne A500 (Sam460EX) with OS4.1 Update 5. The mouse and keyboard are the ones sold by Acube and are branded A-EON.

Happen to me aswell, almost 2 or 3 times but as i didn't know (at all!) how to reproduce it i avoid the report .. of course would be cool to catch exactly how to reproduce it easily and then fix it !

I tried that and can confirm that I get the same on my X1000, if I actually manage to press keys at once. Not that easy to do !

I'll see if there is a bug report and if not put one in tomorrow.

I was just playing with this and I was able to reproduce it immediately. I then disabled ContextMenus in the WBStartUp prefs and I couldn't get it to happen again.

Re-enabling ContextMenus, I was able to create the fault again, but only after many attempts. I also saw the pop-up menu stay "popped up" a couple of times.

I'll write a BZ on ContextMenus - BZ #8037.
cheers
