If you can wait a bit longer, i have ordered a PCIx4 to X16 cable to see if we can use the X4 slot just below the X16 slot of the X5000

When I boot the test partition from USB everything works as it should. I just downloaded the last version of Fienix from the official website. Wrote it to a USB stick. Updated the kernel 5.16 on the fat partition and replaced the system files by dd'ing the Fienix 5 test to the ...

Anybody have any experience with DDR3 1866mhz RAM in a X5020?

I have been offered a free pair of HyperX Fury DDR3 1866MHz(2x4GB 1866MHz (PC3-14900) DDR3 CL10), and was just wondering if it was worth putting it in. At the moment I have the standard 1333 Corsair modules.

On the wiki it says 1600mhz ...

Decreasing the bootpriority to 4 did the trick. Now the install cd boots all the way

@Tony: I did set the os4_bootdevice to auto but on my system it did not do the trick on the CD. It works on the HD partitions but not the CD.
