I followed the documentation here, using RawWrite
https://wiki.amiga.org/index.php/AmigaO ... date_Uboot
I'll have another go using balena etcher later this week.

Re: King of Drama, or the final attempt of booting my X5000
Not successfully. I flashed the image to another SD card, but with that installed, my X5000 wouldn't even power on let alone boot. So I have given up for now, gone back to my original SD card.

Booting off CD is always going to be slower, that's the nature of optical media.
Creating a new SD card is tricky - I had a go and failed. Maybe Skateman could make one for you and send it to you?

Re: Updated elf.library for OS4.1 FE available through AmiUpdate
In your link, Oliver says "AmiSSL v5 can be updated easier (no errors if it is in use) when the new version of elf.library installed (something which I fixed in advance quite a while ago, so its great that everyone can now at last benefit from it)."

Re: Move command not creating target directories
If Misc:bar folder doesn't exist, this results in an error:
"Cannot open "foo.txt" for output - MOVE: object not found"

Move command not creating target directories
Hi,
I don't use Move very much, but am taking a look at it for a script I'm building. According to the docs, "If you name a destination directory that does not exist, MOVE will create a directory with that name." Either I'm doing it worng, or its not functioning as intended.

Re: Deselect drives in Find
One to have all the other search targets unchecked when invoking Find from the WB/Context menu from within a directory window,
How would it know it is being invoked from the Context Menu? Would it be a command line option to unselect the other targets?
Personally I would want Find, when run ...

Re: Deselect drives in Find
Thanks, I will have a play today and try it out. But manually excluding devices in the tool types would only work with fixed devices, such as hard drives. I guess any removable media that I have mounted and not had the foresight to add will be selected. And as its tool type settings, if I want to ...

Deselect drives in Find
Hi all,
When I access Find from the context menu e.g right clicking in a Directory, it automatically populates that path and ticks it on the left hand panel. The problem is that it also ticks all of my drives as well, which pretty much defeats the purpose. Is there any way of having them ...

Yes, that's what I was referring to.tonyw wrote: Sat Oct 16, 2021 4:53 am
Maybe what DaveyW meant was that you can only boot from the built-in (on-board) SATA. That is correct.
