I have a problem booting OS4.1 on A Sam 440ep-flex from an SDcard in an external USB SDcard reader.
The SD card is recognized as a bootlable drive by UBoot and will load the Kickstart files from it.

Thought I might as well keep this thread up-to-date, until I finish my tests: I found that USB keyboard & mouse can freeze even if I am NOT using a hub, so it just seems that a hub makes the problem much more likely.

well, I live in Poland and not have much money for sending mouse to Hyperion for testing. I suggest buing esperanza mouse EM-102 for test - it low end device and cheap. Google image give picture this mouse on string "ESPERANZA EM102K" - but I not have "K" letter - but mouse looking similar

Well. I'm tired fighting with my mouse. I found temporary solution But use it for your risk - I'm not developer - just user.
Open your system disk, show all files, navigate to kickstart drawer, found file "kicklayount". This is txt file. Open it in txt editor. Find line:
