Thanks for the tip. I'll try the latest beta then.

That is what I've been afraid of. Makes YAM useless for me unfortunately as most providers are switching to SSL.

Re: Custom OS4.1 kickstart ROM?

Thanks for explanation esc and goodluck with your project. Sounds really interesting. There are developers on the board who have enormous knowledge about AOS4.1 on classic hardware. Hope they can help you.

Re: Custom OS4.1 kickstart ROM?

What we would gain having such custom ROM? I'm sorry but looking at current OS4.1 architecture and the fact that 68K gets turned off pretty quickly during boot phase I fail to see any real advantages or am I missing something? However it sounds like an interesting "hacking" project for long winter e...

Re: YAM update problem

It happens every time. The download address is https://github.com so I doubt it is the problem with github as I am using it from other OSes on daily basis. I think it is the https part that causes troubles. I'm using 2.9p1 version - the latest stable one. I'm a bit surprised that anyone else didn't ...

When ever I try to download components listed in Update Notification window using download button I get the error: Couldn't connect to WWW server 'https'. I've searched yam site but could not find any hints to solve t...

Re: Help needed setting up Cubic IDE to work with OS4.x SDK

So it seems no one is using Cubic for OS4.1 developement anylonger... but by looking at some Gorky17 pictures it seems some developers are using it still. I'll stick to StormC5ED for now.

Re: Help needed setting up Cubic IDE to work with OS4.x SDK

Sorry for bringing back this old topic but since FE SDK is available for download I wonder if any of Cubic IDE users were able to integrate it successfully with it? Any tip would be more than welcome.

Re: Changing SWAP priority

so at the end: SWAP is actually useless IMHO :ugeek: We don´t need SWAP, we need RAM! There is no difference using SLOW SWAP or using SLOW RAM....IMHO IMHO ? This isn't an issue of opinion, but of fact. You are leaving out the most important part in the equation, that of latency, which is HORRIBLE ...
