I'm trying to register CD. Been trying every few months since its release.
There is only a Disk version in drop down. So no way to register. I tried entering key in Disk version but did not work.

How are others able to register and download update?

Might sound stupid, but what if you add SET ECHO ON to the beginning of startup.
Maybe that will give you some clues as to where it hangs.

I personally do not see the point in having more than one (same) OS partition.
If your a beta tester, yeh fair enough, but if your not. Whats the point.

There is nothing wrong with the firmware, as he is not getting anything on serial, then it has to be a hardware issue.
Remember his machine was working even after flashing (im guessing corrupt firmware). Until it was turned off.

If you still cant get it to work, I can send you my automated CFE batch flash. I use for every machine I assemble.
It will flash, check then print garbage (CFE bug). If numbers are correct, reboot and happy days.

If you have a Radeon 9250, you can try that.
If I recall, you have to boot with rescue, then switch jumper to main flash. Then flash it.
It will then flash. I use 256MB USB Stick all the time (maybe yours is very large) to update new NEMO boards, never had an issue here apart from two ...

Thanks Simon, thought it was me until it happened 3 times in a row.

Anyone else having issues when adding stuff to WBStartup in prefs.
Everytime I add something to it and edit it. Upon saving, it changes all items in list to from SYS: to partition name and then creates a .info.info file to every item in the WBStartup.
So it dumps the correct info file and instead ...

Apparently I have overwritten or otherwise done something to RadeonHD.chip. My backup of OS4.6.1 comes up with the same gross screen as FE does. I had hoped I could simply move the one from 461's Kickstart to FE's Kickstart.
