CMI8738 PCIe sound cards?

Do the kernels for X5000 support CMI8738 PCIe sound cards? Do they work reliably...? Can anyone recommend a source from where to get a working one (with a bridge revision 3, so that it would work also with AmigaOS)?

As I already have the legacy PCI slots reserved, it should indeed be a PCIe version!

Yes, the X5000 Linux kernel supports the CMI8738 PCIe sound cards.

Code: Select all

CONFIG_SND_CMIPCI=y
Further information: CONFIG_SND_CMIPCI: C-Media 8338, 8738, 8768, 8770

In this thread it was unclear whether the PCIe version of CMI8738 really works. Spectre660, can you comment...? Did find those working PCIe cards you were looking for?
