Dear Amigans,

I recently recieved X1000 with OS 4.1.6 and Ubuntu LTS 12.04

Two set of questions:

a) How to permanently set set pmu=А4 )to 1800Mhz) since it halves the Linux boot time
and presumably AmigaoS 4 boot time? I believe I have read CFE has been updated, too?

b) On AmigaOS side, I deeply miss PUFF (Turn off/Reset tool), LED and CPU Temp dockies are not part of the X1000 AmigaOS
since they are really needed. I will compile set of recommendations for AMIGA FEATURE REQUESTS

As to A), I just followed the instructions in the included manual, and for B) those dockies are on the OS4Depot web site for download and work fine for my X1000. Well, POff sometimes hangs...

Which one? CFE manual?

Yes this is additional software, but as I did, you surely missed HDD activity LED; way to see CPU temp and to hard restart AmigaOS.
This features should become part of OS.

The speed ups (increase in CPU speed and decrease time to pick boot device) are in the CFE manual.

The case lacks an led for HDD activity, but the motherboard has a header; I added an LED trapped between the case and front fascia; the LED docky works once configure for the sb600ide.device -- also a download from OS4Depot site.

The X1000 is not the only computer running OS4.1 and I'm sure the folks don't want to bloat-ware the install with too many options, but as soon as you install the dockies you prefer, and make a backup, they are then part of the install.

I said X1000 release Thanks for LED tip, such a great case - such a great fail (I would put even DVD light up the case, since I like to keep case closed).

Anyhow, since its essential it could go in EXTRAS

I use X1kTemp, LED Docky (very handy) and POff without the slightest problem.

Depends...which of the dockies do you refer to?

X1kTemp .................. CFE show temp
Case - 36C ............... local - 36C
CPU - 44C ................ remote1 - 50C
Core1 - 51C ............. remote2 - 45C
Core2 - 46C ............. remote3 - 44C

Temps match if you move them around, X1kTemp labels may not be right, but I'd say the docky temps are accurate.

Ah, ok.

I remember that the docky did go through some output changes...abalaban (the author?) wrote (OS4Depot.net comments?) that he mistakenly put some readings to the wrong outputs and "fixed" that.

So either cfe is "still" wrong or the docky was "fixed" to be broken
