Re: New kernels

I successfully tested the X5000 Linux kernel 6.11-rc6 with SeaLion in a virtual e5500 QEMU machine yesterday.

BTW, Netscape has a web feed of their fish tank, and for some time had an easter egg hidden in Netscape Communicator that would bring that page up when a user pressed CTRL + ALT + F.
SeaLion has this easter egg too! :-)

Okay so got the rc5 and rc6 tested now. Both worked fine. Though Fienix took a while to boot to desktop on rc6 for some reason, with SSD blinking on a blank screen for a few seconds before it opened up. Seems okay now.

BTW, seemingly at random, when I restart sometimes the Power Manager holds it up. It waits for it to terminate. I don't know what causes it but every few restarts it turns up. Is this is a common quirk?

I know this issue too. If I boot Linux and shutdown it after a short time then I get the same issue.

Okay good to know I'm not alone. Sometimes I do something similar. I test a kernel and if another is out then install that and reboot to test.
