For me is that the best resolution. I can work with the X1000 without any failures. And you have a lot of time to test the problematic X1000.amigakit wrote:We want to get you up and running as quickly as practicable. Our commitment is to resolving your support case.
I hope you understand that the processes we follow are to ensure we identify that the problem is an actual hardware issue and ascertain the reason for it. In your case, the X1000 is operating normally with an intermittant boot problem. It maybe due to environment, software or some other problem. Blindly exchanging the system may not be the best resolution.
Sometimes the X1000 doesn't boot [SOLVED]

Re: Sometimes the X1000 doesn't boot
Please note that all AmigaOne X1000 are thoroughly soak tested for many days before being passed as Quality Tested, because we want to avoid potential problems in future as far as practicable.
If the problem turns out to be a hardware issue, then it will more than likely be attributed to a single component. There is no merit in exchanging perfectly working components. We ascertain the problem, identify the culprit and resolve the issue in the diagnosis process.
We would expediate this process for you as we know you are anxious to get up and running as soon as possible.

Re: Sometimes the X1000 doesn't boot
I understand that a quick resolution is preferable for you, so I propose for now that you don't delay and return the AmigaOne X1000 to us. Once the package is received we will immediately commence priority testing and then after 3 business days report back to you with our initial (interim) diagnoses. From there we can both discuss the best way forward. The priority it to start the process and get the system back to our Technician, so we can resolve your support case as quickly as possible. You are welcome to speak to us on Skype, telephone or Support Ticket to discuss any details.
Re: Sometimes the X1000 doesn't boot
And what about with a replacement X1000? The demand for a new X1000 is the easiest way. I can work immediately with the new X1000 without any failures. And you have a lot of time to test the problematic X1000. My X1000 has no scratches and signs of use and it's very very very very clean. You can exchange the X1000 without any problems. What's the matter????? This is a 3200 EUR computer. It costs more as an Apple Mac Pro.
You have a lot of time to find out self the problem and you can sell it to another customer as refurbished X1000. I don't want a refurbished/repaired X1000 for 3200 EUR. I'd like a new X1000 without any problems. You have time to test self or you can send it to Varisys.
You haven't any new X1000, do you?
I promise you. If you deliver a new X1000 then I send my X1000 to you immediately.
And the Problem is solved immediately.
This is an 3200 EUR computer. And not a PC by Tesco or Aldi for £550

At this point we are keeping an open minded approach- we would consider that option once we have your X1000 returned to us. I feel that a quick, but intensive three business day test of your X1000 is not an unreasonable request and we will then report the options to you. We do not want to delay getting you back up and running again. We want you to have a system without any hardware problems too

Re: Sometimes the X1000 doesn't boot
Do you think, the X1000 is fixed in three business days? You can't promise this. Gerograph waiting for his repaired X1000 more than 2 months already.amigakit wrote:At this point we are keeping an open minded approach- we would consider that option once we have your X1000 returned to us. Re: Sometimes the X1000 doesn't boot
I'll try to test the X1000 with another PSU. Please send me a new PSU. I have tested the X1000 with an another Realtek network card. Unfortunately the change of the network card hasn't solved the boot problems.
Re: Sometimes the X1000 doesn't boot
Hello,
I think there has been a misunderstanding: I did not say that the entire fix will be done in three business days. I meant that we would test the system quickly in three days and give you our report. We can then both discuss the options from the result of this report.
BTW: Gerograph's X1000 support case is concluded and we are already making arrangments to ship his system back to him.

Thats not entirely correct. We received it back for testing on the 28/3/13. So its not more than two months.xeno74 wrote:Gerograph waiting for his repaired X1000 more than 2 months already.
I was regularly updating him on the progress of the repair as best I can with the information I had from the manufacturers.
