Hi All,

The final kernel 5.17 has been released. Many thanks to Skateman, Kilaueabart, and Musa for testing the alphas and release candidates. :-) I appreciate it very much.

@Darren
I had to modify your pas_pci_init patch because of the new PASEMI updates. Could you please submit your patch to the kernel developers?

Thanks,
Christian

It seems the root boot argument is wrong. The kernel has only detected the disks sda and sdb.
The alpha1 boots without any problems on my X1000.

all my linux partitions are on the same disk sdc
I use setenv bootargs "root=/dev/sdc4" Debian 64
boot -elf -noints -fatfs usbdisk0:vmlinux-5.18

I can boot sdc2 (Fienix ) but not sdc4 and sdc5
If I use cfe menu all start
Strange

Does it work with the final kernel 5.17?
I will also test the alpha1 with my Debian PPC64.

no 5.17 does not work either with all. I will now start testing several kernels to see which ones work with all and which ones do not work. The kernel I use from the cfe menu is a 5.10.102 and it works on all the linux versions I have. I can also just tell you that after updating Debian 64 bit, Libreoffice works again. It will go a little slow testing because I got Corona a few days ago.
