While the new kernels work with a previous installation there seems to be a problems with a fresh installation.
May be a conflict with xorg.conf. So I am attempting to remove the sm502 support from the kernel.
May need to run 2 or 3 compiles and test so may take most of today.
Thanks for the info!

Could you look in the thread http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum/v ... 6&forum=10, please?

Nice work!

Is it possible to add support for Amiga SFS filesystem?
Under Lubuntu 12.04, there is only support for "old?" FFS.

http://moobunny.dreamhosters.com/cgi/mb ... and/135897

Is there some way/email to do a small donation (paypal)?

Aros can read SFFS/00 so is an option.
Thanks but Hold your donation for now.
searching 'LINUX AMIGA SFS' or 'LINUX ASFS' on the web I get:
-On Debian (what I use) FFS is supported out of the box, just mount your drive with 'mount -t affs /dev/your_drive /mnt/amiga'. If you're using SFS you need to recompile the kernel with the SFS filesystem enabled.

- http://freecode.com/projects/asfs_linuxdriver

-In kernel configuration check these options (http://moobunny.dreamhosters.com/cgi/mb ... and/135897):
CONFIG_AMIGA_PARTITION=y
CONFIG_AFFS_FS=m (or Y)
CONFIG_ASFS_FS=m (or Y) gives SFS support, useful aswell
After booting with the new kernel, it's just matter of sudo mount -t affs /dev/foo /mnt/bar
