Xenic, I had the same problem here with the scratchy sound with the card that came with my X1000. I didn't put up with it for any time at all, as I happened to have a SoundBlaster card on hand just like you. It lives in my X1000 still. In fact, I sent my old, scratchy-prone card to PJS. LOL.
Sounds like a driver tweak is in order, but PJS seems to have found a workaround.

I think a driver tweak is needed too. PJS workaround works for short notification sounds but I noticed some noise in longer sounds when the volume got low or there was a pause in the sound.
