Here is Debian 32 bookworm with vmlinux-6.3_rc6
Thanks a lot for testing! :-) It also works with Void PPC.

Try a lot of times with fat16 and fat32 No luck
Have you seen any error messages? I can only help if I know the issue.

Hi
Here you can see the last info from the boot attempt.
Fienix is located on sdc2. I have all my linux partitions on sdc and all the other linux installations can be started with vmlinux6.3_rc6 without error.
If I use my normal kernel (15.11) Fienix starts without error.
I have seen errors like this before in connection with errors in the fat16 or fat32 system, but then the error has been on all linux installations on sdc.
I'll wait and see what happens with 6.3_rc7.
Have a nice day

The kernel doesn’t see the sdc2 partition. Could you please try to access it from another Linux distribution?

I booted debian bookworms 64 with vmlinux-6.3_rc6. From debian I mounted scd2 (fienix) without problems.

Really strange. If you boot Debian with the RC6, then sdc is visible. If you boot Fienix with the same kernel then sdc isn't visible.
In my point of view, something is different in the Fienix boot configuration. Maybe the bootargs?

Maybe the bootargs??? yes
You're right. I use set pmu -astate=A4 in the cfe menu for Fienix but not in my test boot. I'm not quite sure why it works, but Fienix started when I used set pmu -state=A4. I don't use that command on any of the other linux tests with vmlinux6.3_rc6.

The command "set pmu -astate=A4" is for the performance of the CPU responsible. The X1000 runs at full speed with this command.

The command "set pmu -astate=A4" is not needed in every entry if you have the following default variables set and you use the boot menu to choose what OS to run:

Code: Select all

speed=set pmu -astate=A4
STARTUP=speed ; menu
Thanks a lot for testing the RC6! :-)
