Thanks.

I will see if I can get an installer iso done for both Sam440ep and Sam460ex later today.
If it works ok then everyone who wants to can do a fresh install .
I will have to assume that the Sam460ex 3.16.2 kernel will work ok.

The ramdisk may be too big.

Edit:
Does the ramdisk load or does the reset happen before ? .
I booted the Sam460ex installer on my Sam440ep-flex and both the kernel and ramdisk seem to have been uncompressed ok so
ramdisk size should not be the problem .
