I'm sorry there isn't an installation manual available for ubuntu MATE 15.10. But you could use the installation instructions for Lubuntu 13.10 and use the latest kernel 4.2 and the latest initrd.gz for Ubuntu 15.10.

Download kernel: vmlinux-4.2-rc4-AMIGA_one_X1000.tar.bz2

Download the Ubuntu ramdisk image (initrd.gz) from: http://ports.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-ports/dists/wily/main/installer-powerpc/current/images/powerpc64/netboot/initrd.gz

At the software selection screen you will be asked to select which *buntu flavour(s) you would like to install. Please look for MATE or something like this.

I updated ubuntu MATE 15.10 PowerPC today. I got a new splash screen, a new Firefox, and the MATE desktop 1.10.1.

Hi All,

I tested the ubuntu MATE 15.10 Alpha 2 PowerPC ISO in a virtual Power Mac G3 beige (QEMU/KVM). It boots and works. I have found one issue. The ubuntu MATE Welcome utility doesn't work. I think it's a WebKit issue, isn't it? On my AMIGA one X1000 the Welcome utility doesn't work either.
PLEASE test the Alpha 2 PowerPC release.

I can confirm that WebKit is fixed in ubuntu MATE 15.10. Midori and ubuntu MATE Welcome work without any problems. Many thanks to the developers for their hard work! I appreciate it very much.

Lightdm works and the Radeon HD7950 works well in 2D.

I download the initrd.gz for the net install and the installation fail ...not recognized the drives....
Now i downloading the iso cd for test from cd
