Just for information, AmigaOS can do that too, and very well, thanks to Qt, SMTube and LiveForIt MPlayer.

No, you are quite right, I often do it with smtube only on the aos. I guess it depends on what I'm doing at the moment as sometime it is a matter of comfort, like if right now while using netsurf to write this I would want to view a video. Dailymotion is a different matter
as well as torrenting.
