3.16-rc4 Mainline Branch Kernels

Scrolling and page rendering in Firefox and Iceweasel seem quite snappy on my Sam440ep-flex + Radeon Hd 6670.

Thanks a lot!!!!!! :-)

Kernel 3.16.0-rc4 for the Sam440ep( Flex): Sam440ep-3.16-rc4.tar.gz
Kernel 3.16.0-rc4 for the Sam460ex( Lite): Sam460ex-3.16-rc4.tar.gz
Kernel 3.15.4 for the Sam440ep( Flex): Sam440ep-3.15.4.tar.gz
Kernel 3.15.4 for the Sam460ex( Lite): Sam460ex-3.15.4.tar.gz

The RC 4 runs fine with openSUSE 13.1 on my Sam440ep-Flex (ATi Radeon 9250 PCI).

Thanks a lot for providing us an already compiled kernel so often!

I've tried (Debian Wheezy, and Ubuntu 14.04) with this 3.16 RC4 kernel to check if the 2D hardware acceleration is finally working on Sam460 using a Radeon HD 4650.
Sadly, it is not and X fall back to frame buffer mode.
On Wheezy the frame buffer is slow but almost usable.
On Ubuntu 14.04 the system is so sluggish that is completely unusable, simply moving a window requires multiple seconds to be accomplished!.

I've tried to update the Debian Wheezy to the "testing" release to see if things gets better, but the update process complained about a missing feature in the kernel ("CONFIG_FHANDLE" and "CONFIG_EXPORTFS" must be enabled).
Just tried out the RC4 config file you provided but it was the one for Sam440. Never mind, I used the config from RC2.
Please, enable "CONFIG_FHANDLE" and "CONFIG_EXPORTFS" by default.

Thanks for the feedback. Will attempt to add the missing kernel configs
I have not been able to test the Sam460ex kernels since January.
On My Sam440ep-Flex with a Radeon HD6670 both Lubuntu 14.04 and Debian Wheezy perform well enough to use.
Moving a window in Lubuntu is slow but everything else works well .This has something to do with the newer versions of mesa. PS: it seem better with the latest updates and Kernel 3.16-rc4
Also have not tried Debian Testing since January. Installed using an installer rather than an upgrade. The slow window moving issue was present there too.

Anyone else finding Lubuntu 14.04 unusable ? Either Sam460ex or Sam440ep ?
If so which machine and graphics cards are you using ?.

Debian Jessie gui works with the 3.15.5 kernel but does not seem to work with the 3.16-rc5 kernel.
Need to verify and create an installer with the 3.15.5 kernel instead of the 3.16-rc5 kernel.
Window moving is jerky but scrolling in a window is fast.
Iceweasel 30 is quite impressive.
