The Sound app also lists no hardware. It does list Radeon audio but profile is off. I'll keep checking dmesg logs for RC kernels.

I don’t have these issues on my X1000. I successfully tested HD-audio, USB-audio and the Creative Soundblaster LIVE Player 1024 (EMU10K1) with the
RC3 of kernel
7.1, with the stable kernel
7.0.6 and with the stable long-term kernel
6.12.84 on my X1000 and X5000 today.
I will test the sound devices further.
