Yes. The direct rendering had always worked in Debian Wheezy but did not show as working under Lubuntu 14.04.
I find scrolling in a window such as a browser quite fast on my Sam440ep-flex.
Moving the window in Lubuntu 14.04 is not though. it is much faster in Debian Wheezy.
It has to do with Mesa 10.1.3 in Ubuntu .
